Today, lovers of cacti and succulents from over 60 countries are among the customers of UHLIG KAKTEEN. They appreciate the 3000 species, varieties and forms on offer which for the most part are self-grown. To broaden and improve the selection UHLIG also obtains plants from many reputed nurseries from around the globe. As a rule only plants which come from controlled propagation are on offer – wild plants should remain where they belong, in their natural locations. This commitment was honoured in 1997 by the Wordwide CITES Secretary with the Registration of the company as a CITES Nursery. This makes UHLIG only the second nursery in the world to be rewarded in this way.
